The Legend. The Legend.
Legend has it the Venom Beer concept was originally born when Venom Founding Father Johnny was bitten by a Tiger Snake in the outback.
Waiting for the ambulance to arrive, Johnny cracked an average beer and realised life is too short for sub-par beer. All he wanted was a Deadly Good brew. Johnny recovered from the snake bite, but the plan was born.
Early Days
Fast forward to 2015 – Venom Beer was established by the Drysdale Family with ambitious plans to brew quality, tasty, cracking beers. Joel Drysdale, leading the brewing operations, struck gold (pun intended) with his first offering – Venom Golden Ale.
It didn’t take long for the unforgettable snake logo and the delicious liquid to be seen, firstly in Melbourne, and then around the rest of Australia.
Presently
Venom Beer is a well loved household name in the independent beer scene in Australia, producing a recognisable, consistent quality of core range of beers.
Venom has also been busy pushing boundaries with their limited releases, such as Double Golden Hazy IPA, and Portello (soft drink inspired) Imperial Sour.
